Arbors

When lifting and moving heavy equipment, reliability is important. Our arbors and counterweights are sturdy, so you can balance the weight of the batten, scenery or lights without a worry.  The J.R. Clancy FrontLoader® front-loading arbor has eliminated rods and spreader pales and our J-Guide/T-Bar Single and Double Purchase Arbors, Wire Guide Arbors and Lattice Track Arbors are designed to hold counterweight to balance the batten load.

FrontLoader® - The patented FrontLoader front-loading arbor eliminates the rods and spreader plates of the conventional rod arbor. It also eliminates the awkward bending or climbing into the arbor well to load bricks. The shelves allow for neat, easy and safe stacking of bricks from the loading gallery.

J-Guide/T-Bar Single and Double Purchase Arbors - With safety in mind, our J-Guide/T-Bar Single Purchase Arbors come with easy-to-read, self-adhesive set numbers and labels on the back bar to show safety information and proper spreader plate locations. Many single purchase models available from 4' (1.2 m) to 13' (3.9 m) lengths. Many double purchase models available from 6’ (182 cm) to 13’ (396cm) lengths.

Wire Guide Arbors –Wire guided systems are a great option for theatres with a low ceiling height. Wire Guide Arbors are available in heights from 4’ (120 cm) to 8’ (240cm) lengths.

Lattice Track Arbors –Lattice Track systems are used individual counterweight sets such as act curtains and fire curtains and typically mounted to the downstage proscenium wall or upstage wall.

Counterweights –Counterweights are used in arbors to counterbalance the weight of the batten and scenery or lights. The counterweights are flame cut steel and have 45 notches to provide accessible finger grips. Counterweights are 13-3/4” (349mm) length, with slotted ends for ¾” (19mm) diameter arbor rods spaced on 10” (254mm) centers. FrontLoader counterweights have a handle for easy loading and unloading.
